Osteopathy is a healthcare profession that utilises a patient focused, physical approach to restoring, maintaining and promoting physical and psychosocial well being. When visiting an osteopath for the first time a full case history will be taken followed by an examination.
When visiting the Osteopath the treatment can consist of conventional osteopathic techniques of manipulation, articulation and soft tissue massage, occasionally supplemented with Ultrasound, Laser, Acupuncture or Scenar therapy.
Osteopaths can help considerably with pain relief and lifestyle management which will improve the quality of life for arthritis sufferers.Relief from long term pain may be achieved where other forms of treatment have not helped. Conditions related to the workplace are becomming more common with long hours and a sedetary lifestyle treatment may include advice on posture and ergonomics.
Sports injuries of all ages including rehabilitation.

My name is Emily. Since qualifying from the British School of Osteopathy in 2015 I have been working in Clinics throughout North East Essex. I have been involved with the Neck and Back Scheme treating NHS patients. I have worked with patients su…ffering from a range of conditions such as shoulder dysfunction, headaches, and degenerative changes. I have a particular interest in pregnancy, with experience working in an Expectant Mothers Clinic in London and have completed two Osteopathic courses for Obstetrics since qualifying. I have additional qualifications in Sports Massage.
Lorraine graduated from the British School of Osteopathy having completed the four-year Masters of Osteopathy (M.Ost) degree. She has a structural approach to treatment, and has experience of treating a wide variety of conditions and musculoskeletal problems. Lorraine’s interests lie in treating the person as a whole, understanding the pressures that have brought the patient to the clinic. Lorraine has gained a wealth of experience in treating sports related injuries and has worked amateur and elite athletes return to sports after injury.
Lorraine is experienced in treating people from all walks of life and understands the stresses and strains that modern life can put upon the human body, and our need to find health in order to function in our daily lives. Her knowledge uniquely informs her approach to treatment, advice and rehabilitation, recognising that we need practical solutions to return to our best health. Lorraine has completed several post-graduate courses in treating animals osteopathically and has recently undertaken study at Masters level in this highly specialised area.
